There are plenty of leisure facilities and options for trips in Kleinwalsertal and Allgäu. It does not matter if you prefer to go biking, hiking or neither of them because there is so much more to do like luge riding, climbing steep canyons, visiting high ropes courses in giddy heights or going on shopping tours. Get some inspiration from our recommendations and choose the ones that you like best.  

Adventure world Söllereck

Luge riding track „Allgäu-Coaster“: It is very close at Söllereck. The year-round luge riding track is 800m long and offers many waves and steep curves. You can reach a maximum speed of up to 40km/h – but no worries: you can regulate your speed. The starting points is directly below the valley station of Söllereckbahn.

Forest high ropes Söllereck: Also located at Söllereck, directly at the mountain station there is the forest high ropes park Söllereck. The nice views from the heights of this forest high ropes are worth a trip. It is Germany’s highest forest high ropes park and promises a spectacular view into the Allgäu mountain range. There are different routes for beginners, children and experienced adults. Check them out and surprise yourself. 

Sölli’s marble race: The hike from the top to the valley station with its wodden marble run is definitely something you want to experience and an exciting walk. The 200m wooden marble run with different themes  is fun for grown-ups and children.

alp lake mountain world near Immenstadt

Similiar to Söllereck the alp lake mountain world near Immenstadt offers various options for families – for example the luge riding track (Alpsee Coaster), a huge adventure playground and the forest high ropes park Bärenfalle. Fun leisure time is guaranteed.

Hiking tour through Breitachklamm

The gorge is 2.5 km long. You can start from the Bavarian entry (Oberstdorf, OT Tiefenbach) or from the frontier town Walserschanz. It is definitely worth going there all year round. You are hiking along the river Breitach, occassionaly it becomes very narrow and you can enjoy the impressive views in the 150m deep gorge.

Burmiwasser adventure trail at the Kanzelwand cable car.

Play, try out new things and discover! The natural elements of water, stone and wood are ideal for this. You will find all this at the "Burmiwasser" adventure trail for families at the Kanzelwand. This adventure trail for little watermen and women revolves around cool water and leads from the Kanzelwand mountain station to the popular Riezler Alpsee.

Heini-Klopfer-jump & lake Freiberg

Experiencing the views of a ski jumper once in your life. This is an opportunity you will have at the Heini-Klopfer-jump near Oberstdorf. It is Germany ‘s biggest jump that can be visited and the surrounding area is a very nice place of excursion and hiking destination. The jump is very close to the scenic lake Freiberg with its natural bathing site and café and restaurant.

Stroll in the town nearby

Bad weather or not in the mood for an active trip? Then let’s go to Oberstdorf. There you can start a great shopping stroll in the town. Its numerous shops, cafés and restaurants make it a great shopping experience during your stay. A little further away but definitely worth a visit is the Allgäu metropolis Kempten. It also offers great shopping opportunities and as a Roman town it is also very worth seeing.
